The Nights of the Citadel

Every summer for over 50 years, the majestic site of the Citadel of Sisteron has hosted a major cultural event: the "Nights of the Citadel" Festival. The scenery is already there, with the ramparts in the background. The show is ready to start, in the gentle summer evenings of Provence. Uniquely thrilling!
Here ballet and theatre find new resonances, sacred music rises to the heavens with grace under the vaulted roofs of the 12th century Notre Dame des Pommiers cathedral and chamber music resounds in the delicate architecture of the 13th century Cloister of Saint Dominique.
